Giusto ieri i Soundgarden condividevano un outtake di “Rusty Cage” (qui la nostra news), una delle hit più famose tratte da “Badmotorfinger“, giunto al suo 25esimo compleanno. Oggi il gruppo di Seattle annuncia ufficialmente l’uscita della ristampa del disco del 1991, che ha segnato una svolta nella loro carriera, oltre che nella storia del grunge. La reissue di “Badmotorfinger” arriverà nei negozi il 18 novembre per UMe/A&M Records.
Diversi saranno i formati in cui troverete l’album. La più succulenta per i fan sarà la Super Deluxe Edition contenente 7 dischi (4 CD, 2 DVD e 1 Blu-Ray) per un totale di 79 tracce, video e mix mai pubblicati. Il CD conterrà l’album completamente rimasterizzato, più 15 outtakes finora inedite e il brano “New Damage” con Brian May dei Queen. Un altro CD conterrà “Live At Paramount“, concerto dal vivo tenutosi al Paramount Theatre di Seattle il 6 marzo del 1992. Lo stesso live è contenuto nel primo DVD, assieme ad interviste di band e amici, mentre il secondo disco contiene 11 video live tratti da alcuni festival del 1992 più tre video ufficiali tratti dal disco.
Il Blu-Ray, invece, contiene la versione audio dell’album, tre B-sides accompagnati da effetti visuali ad opera di Josh Graham, visual artist dei Neurosis fino al 2012 e chitarrista dei Red Sparowes, e tre video ufficiali. In aggiunta a tutto ciò ci saranno adesivi, card, e un logo “motorizzato” dell’album (batterie incluse).
A completare il tutto ci saranno anche un’edizione in 2 CD, contenenti l’album rimasterizzato e il live di cui sopra, e un’altra in doppio LP, con tanto di download card del disco.
